The SPRING BIRDING FESTIVAL took place on Saturday, May 12th, 2007.  We couldn't have asked for better weather with temperatures in the low 70's and no rain!  We had a total of 112 species (26 MORE than last year!) of birds were reported.  Look below for a complete list. Bruce Bacon was on hand most of the day banding birds and we were treated to close up views of many birds such as Blue Jay, Swamp Sparrow, and Yellow Warbler.  A few people ventured out on canoe/kayak tours, and wonderful and informative programs were put on by Chris Cold and Jim Williams.  Thank You to all who participated, especially the volunteers and staff.  Without your hard work, this event could not have been possible.
