To get to the Grantsburg area from the Twin Cities Metro: You have several choices. Here are two. Either directly from I35 north or the scenic route from the Stillwater area: Take I-35 North to the Rock Creek/Grantsburg Exit (Highway 70), approximately 34 miles from Forest Lake. Take exit and turn right (EAST) on Highway 70. Follow for 15 miles (into Wisconsin) to the stop lights in Grantsburg. Turn left (NORTH) onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (52 miles from Forest Lake) CLICK HERE FOR MAPQUEST MAP OR From Stillwater, take MN-95 north out of town and follow for about 30 miles (merges with Highway 8) to Taylor's Falls. Cross over the river into Wisconsin and turn just after the bridge north onto WI-87. Follow for 28 miles to Grantsburg. Go straight from the stoplights onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (58 miles from Stillwater) CLICK HERE FOR MAPQUEST MAP OR To get to the Grantsburg area from Duluth: Also 2 choices, either I35 south or through Superior down WI-35: Take I-35 south 90 miles to the Rock Creek/Grantsburg Exit (Highway 70). Take exit and turn left (EAST) on Highway 70. Follow for 15 miles (into Wisconsin) to the stop lights in Grantsburg. Turn left (NORTH) onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (109 miles) CLICK HERE FOR MAPQUEST MAP OR Go through Superior south on WI-35 for about 72 miles to Danbury WI. Turn Right (WEST) onto WI-77 and follow for 1 mile to County Road F. Turn left onto County Road F and follow 28 miles to County Road D. Turn left and turn into the first driveway on the left to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (90 miles) To get to the Grantsburg area from the Madison/Milwaukee area: Take I-94 to Eau Claire. Exit onto US-53 north. Follow approximately 50 miles to the Barron/Cameron exit. Turn left (WEST) onto Highway 8. Follow for 43 miles to St. Croix Falls. Turn north onto WI-87. Follow for 28 miles to Grantsburg. Go straight from the stoplights onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (290 miles from Madison) To get to the Grantsburg area from the Green Bay area: Take WI-29 approximately 185 miles to Eau Claire. Exit onto US-53 north. Follow approximately 50 miles to the Barron/Cameron exit. Turn left (WEST) onto Highway 8. Follow for 43 miles to St. Croix Falls. Turn north onto WI-87. Follow for 28 miles to Grantsburg. Go straight from the stoplights onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. To get to the Grantsburg area from northeastern Wisconsin: Take Highways US-53 or US-63 to Spooner. Turn right (WEST) onto Highway 70. Follow approximately 41 miles to the stop light In Grantsburg. Turn right (NORTH) onto Pine Street. Follow through town to the Visitor Center, which is at the Southwest corner of Crex Meadows. (Approx 190 miles from Rhinelander) Map through Grantsburg
