Photo Club

The Minnesota Nature Photography Club is holding an all-day photography workshop on February 25, 2012 at the REI in Minneapolis. Presenters include Dale Bohlke, Marianne Cyr, John Pennoyer, Mike Prokosch, and Ron Cleveland (members of our photo club!). Proceeds from the workshop will benefit the Friends of Crex Endowment Fund. Are you interested in nature photography? Do you spend time at Crex Meadows taking photos and want to share them? Do you want to learn more about digital photography and get to know other people who share a love of the natural world and a desire to improve their skills? Join the Crex Photo Club!

Meets: Second Saturday of each month (the January meeting will be moved to the 7th due to a scheduling conflict)

Time: 10:00 a.m. - Noon Location: Crex Meadows Wildlife Education and Visitor's Center

2012 Dates: January 7, February 11, March 10, April 14, May 12, June 09, July 14, August 11, September 08, October 13, November 10, and December 08.

Purpose:

• To share images taken at Crex and the surrounding area with fellow photographers.
• To learn new techniques
• To share good photo locations on Crex

Membership:
Open to all, membership in Friends of Crex encouraged
Membership fee: none

Image sharing:

• 3-4 images per photographer each month
• Image files emailed in advance to show on projector during meeting
• Images should be received the first Friday of the month to be viewed the following day

File details:

o JPEG Only
o Max size: 1280 on longest dimension
o High quality setting for JPEG compression
o Please label your photos as follows: Photo #, Month, Initials (0107KJW, 0207KJW, 0307KJW for photo submitted for July meeting)
