Standard Tours: Available from March 15 through November 15
(arrangements to be made at least 48 hours in advance)

• Early Morning (sunrise-10am)         

• Morning (8-Noon)

 Cost:  

• Your Vehicle (guide will ride with you):          $40 per tour             

• Guide’s Vehicle (up to 3 people in vehicle):  $60 per tour

• Additional Vehicles on trip:                            $20 per vehicle

 Special Tours: (arrangements to be made at least 7 days in advance)

• Night-time search for marsh birds: $100 per person, limited to 4 people per tour

• Canoe/Kayak tours in search of LeConte’s and Sharp-tailed Sparrows, Bobolinks, Marsh wrens, Sedge wrens:  $50 per person, limited to 3 canoes/kayaks per tour (Canoes/kayaks rental fee included in cost)

• All-day photography tour with a Professional Photographer (subject specific or a wide range of subjects available): $150 per person

• Customized tours - call for arrangements/prices to be determined by length and depth of tour

To make arrangements for a private guided tour, call Kim Wheeler at 715-463-2739, or email information@crexmeadows.org.  In order to ensure the safety of our tour guides, we require that each participant provide their full name and address, and each party may be subjected to a background check.  Our guides are volunteers, and are not paid for their services.  Each guide has a intimate knowledge of Crex Meadows and Fish Lake Wildlife Areas and can bring you to the areas that interest you the most.  They have a wide and diverse knowledge base, some are expert birders, some are experts in plants, mushrooms, and insects.  We will do our best to match you up with a guide that suits your interests.  Payment for the tours will be expected before the tour begins. 

All proceeds from Private Tours will go to the newly established Land Acquisition Fund.
