The Friends of Crex has been extremely generous to us here at the Crex Meadows Wildlife Education and Visitor Center and we appreciate it!  It is often difficult to justify using Friends of Crex funds to purchase items needed here, and often even more difficult to obtain DNR funding.  In our Winter 2007 newsletter we added a wish list which has had good results.  We asked for a portable dishwasher, a scanner with a slide sorter, a portable microphone, and snowshoes.  We have already had calls on two of the items. 

Here is a list of things we are in need of at Crex.  If you can help out, please contact us at 715-463-2739. 

• Digital Trail Cam for a wolf tracking project

• Snowshoes - adult and child sizes We have received 5 pairs of snowshoes so far - thanks!!  We could still use some child's sizes and a couple more adult ones. 

• Office chair - a comfortable one in decent shape for our office workers

• Grills - if you are replacing your old one and it is still in decent working condition, we could use a couple grills for our various events. 

• 1920's - 1940's hunting memorabilia for our hunting shack display.  Items such as food containers, a 1920's or 1930's license plate, guns, etc. are needed.
